After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Dr John recorded Sippiana Hericane. The proceeds of the album went to the hospital for musicians. He also contributed to the Grammy Award-winning 2008 album City That Care Forgot, a tribute to his grievously injured hometown. In addition, he appeared on the 2011 album Desitively Bonnaroo by Allen Toussaint and Gregg Allman.
Dr John is a respected writer and teacher. He has written several books and produced a vast selection of audio and video blues and New Orleans Piano lessons for Homespun tapes. He also composed and performed the score of the film version of John Steinbeck's Cannery Row. He has performed with the Rolling Stones and the Band as well as other musicians.

Dr Kontos is an Tarpon Springs native who developed an early interest in dentistry at an early age. His first experience of tooth pain and a root canal at the age of 12 allowed him to see that dental work was the path he wished to follow for his life. He did his research and a lot of work for a long time before completing his doctorate at Nova Southeastern University. He also worked in the field with other doctors, and has presented research results to various venues.
He has a wide array of psychiatric and medical interests and focuses on older adults. He is registered with the General Medical Council in the UK and is on the Specialist Register of General Adult Psychiatry, and also has an endorsement for Old Age Psychiatry.
